Based on the daily meteorological data of 116 meteorological stations in Inner Mongolia Plateau from 1982 to 2015,the temporal and spatial variations of extreme climatic events in this place are analyzed using the method of linear regression trend. The results show that the cold index of more than 95% of the Inner Mongolia Plateau has a large downward trend from 1982 to2015. The increasing trend of the number of warm nights is more obvious than that of the number of warm days, and the warm index in more than 98% areas shows an upward trend. The extreme precipitation index showed a weak downward trend: in most of the eastern region, it showed a downward trend, while in most of the central and western regions it showed an increasing trend.
