This study makes a contrastive corpus-based analysis of Customs News English, General English and General News English with the Multi-dimensional(MD) Analysis. The result shows that from the perspective of discourse functions, compared with General English and General News English, Customs News English is more informationally dense(e.g. with more nouns, long words and adjectives), less narrative(e.g. with less past tenses and third person pronouns), and more context dependent(e.g. with more nominalizations and less adverbs). From the perspective of linguistic features, Customs News English presents Nominalization and long AWL(Average Word Length) as its two distinguished and unique features.
