摘要
以苏高工、巴特莱特、康奈尔等6所院校为例,分析其建筑学本科的课程设置和建筑设计系列课的内容与设置,总结了案例院校建筑学本科教学的3大重点:注重建造及工学内容;注重城市空间营建;注重研究结合设计。
This paper examines the emphases of undergraduate programs of six top western architectural schools, in terms of curriculum design and the structure and content of design studios. Three critical teaching emphases are identified: 1) construction and technological contents, 2) making of urban space, and 3) research-based design.

2)仅译为城市设计时,建筑及建造的含义就丢失了。梁思成先生曾将清华大学建筑系更名为“营建系”。他认为,建筑教育的任务已不仅仅是培养设计个体建筑的建筑师,还要造就广义的体形环境的设计人才。
