Yongchun County is the main research area in this study. Based on the evaluation of agricultural geological survey in Yongchun County, The contents of Cd, Hg, As, Pb, Cr and Ni in soils under different geological background were analyzed. To find out the influence of geological background on metal elements in surface soil in hilly area of southeastern Fujian. The results show that: The study area has good surface soil environmental quality. The contents of metal elements in the soil of Permian and Triassic strata background are relatively high. The content of metal elements in Jurassic quartz diorite porphyry intrusive rock mass is generally high. Most metal elements are higher in loam and clay. The content of metal elements in soil has a strong correlation with stratum background and intrusive rock mass. It has weak correlation with soil texture and soil geological origin.
