中国当代艺术中的“翻译式”视觉表述——徐冰的跨文化实践研究

摘要
徐冰是中国当代艺术"海外军团"的代表性人物,其作品中存在多种涉及翻译的视觉表述。本文借鉴"翻译转向"的研究视角,把"翻译"作为一种分析类属,结合徐冰创作于不同时期的三部作品《Wu街》《英文方块字书法》《地书》来探讨他的跨文化艺术实践下的"翻译式"视觉表述。同时,引鉴斯图亚特·霍尔的文化认同理论来审视此中的文化认同的建构与形成。
Xu Bing is a leading figure among overseas contemporary Chinese artists. His artistic expressions feature different types of translation. Using translation as an analytical category from the methodological perspective of "Translational Turn", this study examines the translational artistic expressions in three artworks created by Xu Bing in different periods, namely Wu Street, Square Word Calligraphy and Book from the Ground, and discusses the construction and becoming of his cultural identity through practices as such from the standpoint of Stuart Hall's theory of cultural identity.
