As a world-renowned literary work, the Yuan drama The Orphan of Zhao chronicles an arduous revenge action. Zhao Wu, the original victim of the tragedy, is both absent from and involved in the bloody revenge action, whose image bears profound complexity and is intimately related to the ethical concept conveyed in this work.
