民国时期图书馆学人的海外发文

摘要
文章研究民国时期曾留美的部分图书馆学人1912-1949年在国外刊物上发表的四种类型的英文著述:学位论文、图书馆学专业论文、国际会议论文暨发言稿和编读来往信函。通过探析这些英文著述,洞察这批民国图书馆学人对我国图书馆事业发展所起的推动作用及其与美国图书馆界的交流与合作活动,提出目前对民国图书馆学人英文著述研究存在的不足。
This article studies the four types of English writings :academic dissertation,library science thesis,international colloquium papers and reader's letters,published in the overseas journals from 1912 to 1949 by Chinese library scholars who have received professional training in the USA in the period of Republican China. Thisstudy shows that those library scholars made great contributions to the development of Chinese librarianship and thecommunication and cooperation between libraries in the US and China. Meanwhile, it also points out the inadequacies existed in the study of the English writings of the library scholars in the period of Republican China.
