In order to solve the problem of safe mining in the goaf during the excavation of the 21219 track roadway in the deep level of Dongpang Mine. The gas emission source of the roadway and the gas distribution of the goaf were measured and counted, combined with the potential energy analysis, the dynamic relationship between the gas migration in the goaf and the gas emission in the roadway excavation process was analyzed. By adopting pressure equalization ventilation to prevent gas emission, and implementing a series of comprehensive gas control measures, the amount of gas emission during the tunneling along the roadway was effectively reduced. According to the actual statistics, the absolute gas emission of the roadway was reduced by about 60%, which solved the problem that the gas emission from the goaf restricted the safe mining and achieved good economic and technical effects.
