144 keV ~ 15 MeV mono-energetic reference fields based on tandem accelerator have been established in China. The calibration of neutron detector and traceability of neutron fluence and dosimetry have been realized below 20 MeV. But there are no quasi mono-energetic reference fields above 20 MeV in China. With the developments of neutron detector for space radiation and the developments of high energy proton accelerators, the needs for neutron reference fields above 20 MeV are more and more intense. Being established of quasi mono-energetic neutron reference fields above 20 MeV is very important for resolving defense industry needs and pushing development of neutron metrology.
