山西大同县南坡旧石器时代遗址试掘简报

<正>2016年4月22日至6月22日,山西大学历史文化学院考古系和大同市考古研究所组成联合考古队对泥河湾盆地山西区域(或称大同盆地、桑干河盆地)进行了调查与试掘,共发现旧石器地点60余处。其中南坡旧石器时代遗址的石制品较为丰富,石器工业特征较为鲜明。南坡旧石器时代遗址位于泥河湾
The trial excavation to the Nanpo Site located on the secondary terrace of Sanggan River in Datong County, Shanxi revealed a cultural layer of 0.4 m thick, from which 126 artifacts were unearthed, including 119 lithic products and seven animal fossils. The lithic products were cores, flakes, chunks, microcores, microblades and stone tools; the stone tools included scrapers, end scrapers, points, arrowheads, burins, etc. The lithic products were barely worn or weathered, and most of them were microliths and small tools. By the types of the microcores and stone tools, the geological date of this site is estimated to be the later stage of the Upper Pleistocene, and its cultural date would be the later stage of the Upper Paleolithic Age.
