Total of 600 one-day-old healthy white-feather broilers were randomized into 4 groups by the weight consistency principle, including the control group(fed with basal diet),antibiotics group(supplemented of 15% aureomycin0.5 g/kg in basal diet),acidifier A group(supplemented of 2 g/kg of lactic acid compound acidifier in basal diet) and acidifier B group(supplemented of 2 g/kg of formic acid compound acidifier in basal diet). The results showed that,in the growth performance, supplementation of aureomycin and acidifier B in basil diet significantly increased the daily weight gain(DWG)(P<0.05),supplementation of aureomycin, acidifier A and acidifier B significantly decreased the ratio of daily feed intake to DWG(P<0.05),comparing with control group during 1 to 16 days of age.Supplementation of aureomycin and acidifier B significantly decreased the uric acid concentration(P<0.05),supplementation of aureomycin, acidifier A and acidifier B significantly increased, the AKP activities comparing with control group(P<0.05).The T-AOC activities of acidifier A and acidifier B groups were significantly higher than those of control group and antibiotics group(P<0.05).The content of malondialdehyde of antibiotics group was significantly higher than those of control group, acidifier A and acidifier B groups(P<0.05).The results indicated that the compound acidifier had a positive effect on the growth performance of broilers at the early stage, but had no significant effects at the later stage.Furthermore, compound acidifier could improve some serum biochemical indexes of broilers.
