Movable-type printing is such a technology that developed in ancient China. However, the mainstream position of woodblock printing was strongly shocked until the modern lead-type technology was introduced into China from the West, and movable-type printing gradually withdrew from the mainstream printing industry in China. The root cause of so broad gaps between China and the West in the development of the printing industry was attributed to natural and geographical environments in which the ancestors lived.
