民国时期教育家校长群体共性特征及启示

摘要
学贯中西的宽广学识、教育救国的远大理想、融通中外的办学理念、知人善任的用人之道、民主管理的治校作风和伟岸崇高的人格魅力是民国时期教育家校长群体的共性特征。教育家校长群体的共性特征,对于建设中国特色世界一流大学具有十分重要的启示意义,那就是大学校长要有宽广宏大的办学视野、革故鼎新的担当精神、自身独到的办学理念、独到英明的识才慧眼、民主平等的行事风格和文理通达的人文素养。
The common features of educators and presidents in the Republican Period, well-versed in both Chinese and Western cultures, are the lofty ideal of saving the nation through education, the school-running idea of integrating China and foreign countries, the way how to discover able people and employ them at suitable positions, the school-running style of democratic management and the great and noble personality charm. These common features are of great significance to the construction of world-class university with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, university presidents should have a broad vision of running a school, a spirit of reform and innovation, unique ideas of running a school, original and wise insight of recognizing talents, democratic and equal style of action, and humanistic accomplishment of liberal arts and science.
