从文学翻译表现手法看《易经》古歌英译——以“大畜”卦古歌为例

摘要
王宏印提出的文学翻译表现手法深具中国文化渊源,体现了汉语文化的思维特征,要旨是承认两种语言文化间的差异,力求克服或利用这种差异和张力。《易经》古歌具有情感古朴而真挚,文字简约而意深的特点,体现了汉语文化的表现性特征,其英译则是表现手法应用的一个微观领域,且颇具适用性。对《易经》第二十六卦"大畜"古歌英译的分析表明,在原文古歌研究的基础上,运用文学翻译表现手法可以较好地满足《易经》古歌英译在事理、语言和风貌三方面的要求,由此可弥补前人译文在这些方面的不足,对《易经》古歌英译具有重要的实践价值,对一般中国古典诗歌英译也具有一定的启示意义。
        Rooted in traditional Chinese culture,Wang Hongyin puts forth the impressionistic approach to literary translation which manifests the way of thinking characterizing the Chinese language. Essentially,it recognizes the difference between the two languages and cultures involved in translation and strives to overcome or make the best of that difference and tension. The ancient songs in the Classic of Change features emotional simplicity and sincerity and linguistic terseness and profundity,which displays the impressionism characteristic of Chinese culture.They constitute a micro-area where the impressionistic approach to literary translation applies well. As indicated by analyzing the translation of the ancient song in Hexagram Dachu on the basis of interpreting the original text,the approach can be applied satisfactorily to rendering the original with regard to the requirements of content,language,and style,thus making up for the shortcomings with the previous versions. Therefore,the impressionistic approach is of much practical value to translating the ancient songs in the Classic of Change,which is also revelatory to the practice of translating Chinese classical poems into English in a general sense.
