The basic wind pressure is an important parameter in the design of the building structure. The wind pressure changes sharply in coastal areas, so the value of basic wind pressure should be more refined between these regions. But the value of wind pressure in current norms is too rough. The observation data are collected in the base stations, the basic stations and the regional stations in Taizhou. The basic wind pressure calculation method is proposed when the regional station meteorological observation data are insufficient. Then the regression analysis method is used to fit the relation equation of the observation data of that regional station and the datum station. Then the extreme value of the wind speed of the regional station is speculated based on the extreme observation data of the annual wind speed of the national datum station. The wind speed parameters were analyzed to calculate the maximum wind speed and basic wind pressure in 50 years. The calculated results were consistent with the national wind pressure distribution map, and can be used as a reference for the supplement and improvement of current codes, providing a basis for the design of building structures.
