汉泰时间隐喻认知差异——以“上、下、前、后”为例

摘要
文章考察了汉语方位词"上、下、前、后"的时间隐喻义在泰语中的翻译,并说明汉泰两种语言对于时间隐喻认知的异同。汉语存在垂直和水平两个方向的时间隐喻,说汉语的人倾向把"自己"作为水平运动参照点;泰语缺乏垂直方向的时间隐喻,说泰语的人倾向把"时间"本身作为水平运动参照点,伴随存在语义发展不平衡现象,这种现象在其他东南亚语言中也普遍存在。
The paper investigates the temporal metaphor meaning of Chinese locative noun "shang( 上)/xia( 下)/qian( 前)/hou( 后) "in Thai translation,and explains the Chinese-Thai differences about temporal cognition.There is vertical and horizontal direction temporal metaphor in Chinese language,and Chinese prefer to take "oneself"as the horizontal movement starting point,but the vertical direction temporal metaphor is not existing in Thai,and Thai prefer to take"time"as the horizontal movement starting point. This leads to temporal metaphor semantic development imbalance in Thai language,and this phenomenon exists in Southeast Asian Languages as well.
