摘要
我国科学家从1958年开始,经过6年多的曲折努力,终于在1965年9月成功地获得了人工全合成牛胰岛素的晶体。这是世界上第一个人工合成的具有生物活力的结晶蛋白质,它标志着人类在认识生命、探索生命奥秘的征途中迈出了关键性的一步,从而成为我国自然科学发展史上的一个重要里程碑。在完成这重大的科研项目中,我国科学家所体现的敢做难题、勇攀高峰的精神,顾全大局、团队协作的精神,艰苦奋斗、不计名利的精神和严格认真、严谨求实的精神是值得发扬光大,代代相传的。
        From 1958 on,after going through great efforts for more than six years,Chinese scientists obtained successfully the crystals of total synthesis of bovine insulin in September,1965. That was the first human synthesized crystalline protein with biological activity in the world. As a crucial step toward understanding and exploring the secrets of life,it stands as one of the major milestones in history of the development of natural sciences in China. In accomplishing the great achievement,the Chinese scientists dared to undertake difficult tasks and scale the heights of science. Besides,they are filled with the spirit of taking the whole situation into consideration; seeking group coorperaton; persisting hard struggle; regardless of personal fame and gain; being earnest and realistic; and having a rigorous attitude for scientific research. All these fine qualities are worthy of further development and being carried on from generation to generation.
