摘要
借助国产六面顶压机SPD-6×1400,在高温高压条件下,以籽晶的{111}晶面作为大单晶的外延生长面,以Fe_(64)Ni_(36)为金属催化剂,采用温度梯度法对Ib型宝石级金刚石大单晶进行快速生长实验探究。实验结果表明:随着晶种尺寸的增大,晶体的增重速度从2.0 mg/h增加到8.3 mg/h,41 h内晶体生长重量达1.7克拉,尺寸达7 mm。虽然晶体的生长区间有所变窄,大籽晶法仍是快速生长大尺寸宝石级金刚石单晶行之有效的手段。
Experiments on rapid growth of Ib-type gem-quality diamond crystal are carried out at high temperature and high pressure using temperature gradient method, while using SPD-6×1400 domestic cubic anvil apparatus, employing Fe64 Ni36 as catalyst, and taking {111}-facet as epitaxial face. The experimental results indicate that the growth rate increases from 2.0 mg/h to 8.3 mg/h with increasing size of crystal. The diamond crystal has size of 7 mm, 1.7 ct in weight, which is synthesized within 41 h. Although the growth range narrows, it is still an effective method using a large-size crystal as seed to cultivate gemquality diamond crystals in a high growth rate.
