博士研究生延期完成学业的影响因素分析

摘要
根据华东某高校2010-2017年"博士生求学历程问卷调查"数据,检验了博士生求学过程中各因素对其完成学业的影响。研究发现博士生在读期间选择非全日制学习方式或出国访学,对其按期完成学业产生非常显著的负向影响。博士生学习期间具备以下某项特征,如有明确学习规划、投入学习科研时间较多、专业课程成绩优良、发表科研成果数量多、发表高水平科研成果多、学位论文评阅成绩优良等都对其按期完成学业有显著的正向影响。博士生个体特征中除年龄外,其他因素对是否按期完成学业无显著影响。研究还发现,导师及早为博士生制订培养计划,导师指导频率较高,导师指导资格年限长等因素都可有效降低学生延期的概率,有各类学术称号的导师所指导的博士生出现延期的概率更高。学校提供科研资助有助于博士生按期完成学业,学校以硕博连读或本科生直接攻博方式录取的博士生易发生延期,学校实行预答辩制度对博士生按期完成学业有非常显著的负向影响。
        Based on data from a questionnaire survey on how long it takes PhD candidates to complete their study and get their degree,the paper analyzes the factors influencing graduation of PhD candidates.The major findings are summarized as follows:doctoral students who choose to study part-time,or to be visiting scholars abroad during their study tend to graduate later; factors such as having a clear study plan,spending more time studying,getting excellent course grades,receiving scholarships and grants,having academic papers published in high quality,and having written excellent dissertations contribute to scheduled completion of their study;individual characteristics of doctoral students except age have no significant influences on scheduled completion of their study; tutors' developing a training plan for doctoral students as early as possible,guiding them frequently and having more experience in guiding can help doctoral students to graduate as scheduled,but doctoral students with tutors who have more academic titles are more likely to graduate later; doctoral students who continue to pursue their master's degree and doctor's degree in the university where they have got their bachelor's degree and those enrolled in bachelor-to-doctor programs or master-to-doctor programs are likely to graduate later; the pre-defense system exerts a negative impact on the scheduled graduation of doctoral students.
