摘要
本文提供了一个不同于麦克卢汉、基特勒和哈贝马斯等的媒介研究新视角。"信使模型"更加突出了媒介的居间角色和中介本性,突破了传统意义上"言者/听者""传者/受者"的二元对立;作者关注的不只是具体的媒体形式,而是媒介性这个根本概念。通过对图表、图形、日晷等书写平面技术的分析,作者展现了平层化的文化技术是如何在空间和时间之间,手、眼、心之间,将不可见之物譬如理论和心灵转变成可见可感、可以动手操作的对象,并产生了新的认知和知识。这些分析将深化我们对"何为媒介"的本质性理解。
This article was a speech by Professor Sybille Kr?mer when she visited Beijing,and represented some thinking up to date of German media philosophy,provided a new depiction perspective different from McLuhan,Kittler and Habermas:Messenger Model.It was highlighted the intermediary role and the mediation of media and broke out the traditional dualistic relations such as"speaker and listener","sender and receiver"—she was not only focused on the specific media types but also a mediality as fundamental concept.By giving examples of inscribed and illustrated surfaces techniques such as diagram,graphic and sundial,Professor Sybille Kr?mer has shown how the technique of mediality transformed invisible objects like theory and mind to be perceptible and operable objects,such as time and space;hands,eyes and the heart,then created new cognition and knowledge.This article will greatly deepen our essential understanding of"what is media".
