主述位理论视角下的散文翻译策略能力评价——以《艰难的国运与雄健的国民》英译本为例

摘要
策略能力是翻译能力的重要内容。在主述位理论的指导下,以"意合"为切入点,从"主位-述位"推进和"词汇衔接"等层面,通过对《艰难的国运与雄健的国民》两英译本的对比分析发现:高质量译本译者注重从宏观上通过主位-述位推进手段重建原文的语意脉络,同时在中观和微观层面借助必要的词汇衔接手段,体现了精湛的策略能力;而质量稍次的译作作者其宏观意脉谋篇意识则稍有欠缺。
        Strategic competence is an important part of translation competence. Based on Theme-rheme theory and starting from parataxis,a comparative analysis of the two English translations of National Crisis vs. Heroic Nation is made,and it focuses on Theme-rheme advancement and lexical cohesion. It is shown that the translator of the high-quality version focuses on reconstructing the meaning of the original text macroscopically by means of Theme-rheme advancement. At the same time,the necessary means of"hypotaxis"at the middle and micro levels embodies his exquisite strategic ability,while the translator of the lower-quality version lacks the macroscopical sense of "parataxis"in structuring the translation.
