摘要

在过去漫长的职业生涯中,罗素做出的重要贡献不仅仅是在逻辑与哲学领域,而是在广泛的其他学科领域,包括教育、历史、政治理论和宗教研究。此外,他的许多有关广泛的科学和人文话题的作品,影响了一代又一代的大众读者。笔者评论他的一篇《不幸福的美国生活方式》的文章,主要讨论了导致美国生活不幸的两个确定的因素。
        Over the course of his long career,Russell made significant contributions,not just to logic and philosophy,but to a broad range of other subjects including education,history,political theory and religious studies. In addition,many of his writings on a wide variety of topics in both the sciences and the humanities have influenced generations of general readers. The composition I want to comment on is one of his exceptional essays,which is titled as The Unhappy American Way. It mainly discussed the two identified causes of unhappiness of the American way.
