小说《警察与赞美诗》修辞艺术分析

摘要
《警察与赞美诗》是一篇语言风格独特的小说,欧·亨利运用多种修辞手法,从细微处入手对人物进行生动形象刻画,使得整部作品呈现出文字精炼、幽默诙谐、意味深长的语言艺术特点,使得该篇小说被誉为"含泪的微笑"。本文对小说《警察与赞美诗》的修辞艺术运用进行分析,期望对经典英语文学作品的解读与翻译有所帮助。
"Police and hymn" the novel is a unique language style,European Henry using various rhetorical devices,starting from the characters vividly depict subtle,making the whole work showing the language art of text refining,humorous and meaningful,the novel is known as the "smile with tears".This paper analyzes the rhetorical art of the novel "police and hymn",and hopes to help the interpretation and translation of classical English literary works.
