Development issues such as high recovery degree, high steam stimulation cycles, low cyclic oil-steam ratio and difficulties in lifting at low pressure emerge with the continuous exploitation of the reservoir,it is crucial to transfer the development mode of the deep heavy oil reservoir. This paper focuses on development mode transformation of deep heavy oil reservoir and analyzes the application feasibility of gravity water drainage assisted steam flooding(GWDASF)technology.Well pattern and spacing design are carried out and injection-production parameters are optimized according to characteristics and development status of the reservoir.Steam injection and lifting have been developed as well as matching technologies. These technologies have been successfully applied to break through the technical difficulties of GWDASF and achieve the aim of development mode transformation in deep heavy oil reservoir.
