2018年美国新闻编辑协会奖评析及其启示

摘要
作为北美地区影响最大,历史最悠久的新闻编辑同业协会,美国新闻编辑协会评出的优胜作品往往代表了美国最高的新闻专业水平。本文旨在通过对美国新闻编辑协会奖进行介绍并对其获奖的新闻作品进行梳理,简析美国主流新闻媒体所欣赏的价值取向要素。研究发现,美国新闻编辑协会奖在新闻价值、报道题材和奖项设置的选择等方面均反映出其特有的传媒文化。通过对中美两国获奖新闻作品的比较,文章认为,中国新闻行业应从自身角度出发,深挖新闻作品选题,加快媒介融合,关注有水平且有情怀的媒体,同时避免利益输送、权力交换情况的发生,这样才能更好地体现新闻奖的社会价值。
As the most influential and oldest association of news editors in North America, the winning works selected by American Society of Newspaper Editors(ASNE) often represent the highest professional level of journalism in America. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the awards of the association of news editors of the United States and sort out their award-winning news works. On this basis, the value orientation elements appreciated by the mainstream news media in the United States are briefly analyzed. It is found that the 2018 American Society of Newspaper Editors Awards reflect their unique media culture in the aspects of news value, subjects and awards setting. By comparing the award-winning news works of China and the United States, the article holds that the Chinese journalism industry should start from its own perspective, dig deep into the topics of news works, accelerate the media integration, pay attention to the level and feelings of the media, and at the same time avoid the transmission of interests and the exchange of power, so as to better reflect the social value of journalism awards.
