英语招生广告语篇的主位及主位推进模式探析

摘要
主位和主位推进模式是语篇分析的重要手段之一。以系统功能语法为理论框架,以一则英语招生广告为语料,探讨该招生广告的主位和主位推进模式特点,研究结果发现:招生广告语篇大量运用无标记主位,主位及主位推进模式的选择与广告的语类及其功能和目的密切相关。无标记主位体现对命题有效性直接负责的人际功能,主位同一型模式则有利于突出语篇主题,帮助实现广告的社会功能。
        Theme and thematic progression is an efficient way for discourse analysis. Based on the framework of Systemic Functional Grammar, this paper attempts to focus on an English education advertisement and explore its features of the themes and thematic progression pattern. The study indicates that unmarked themes are widely used in this advertisement, and the choice of themes and thematic progression is closely related to discourse genre, function as well as purpose. Unmarked themes largely play interpersonal function responsible for the validity of the proposition, while Tn(=T1 t)—Rn pattern helps highlight the topic and fulfill the social function. The study aims to enable the readers to get an accurate interpretation, improve their critical thinking about the analysis, explanation and evaluation of an English education advertisement.
