古典译论“五不翻”之考辩及新解

摘要
中国传统翻译理论中的"五不翻"之说常被视为音译现象之圭臬,对中国的翻译理论和实践具有承前启后的指导意义。学界对"五不翻"之说的出处和思想渊源已有公论。通过考证,发现了一些新论据,补正了一些学者的观点,并从现代人的视角结合"五不翻"之说的时代背景,对其重新进行了诠释,并总结了该理论对翻译研究的启示作用。
The theory of "Transliteration in Five Cases"(Five No Translations), which guided and inspired translation practice in China, has long been held as the yardstick for transliteration in translating classical works. Its source and origin in translation history have been universally acknowledged, this paper, however, puts forward a new insight about its earliest reference cited and ideological origin through textual research on new arguments. Based on the textual research, the author reinterprets the theory of "Transliteration in Five cases" from a modern perspective,and concludes that the theory still exerts a revealing significance upon translation studies at present.
