摘要
采用溶液共混法将碱式硫酸镁晶须(MOSw)与聚丙烯(PP)进行共混,经过降温沉淀、抽滤洗涤及真空干燥等过程制备了一系列不同含量的聚丙烯/碱式硫酸镁晶须(PP/MOSw)复合材料。通过水平燃烧试验、锥形量热等测试手段考察了PP/MOSw复合材料的阻燃性能,结果表明,MOSw的加入对PP树脂有良好的阻燃效果。随着MOSw添加量的增大,其阻燃效果呈先升高后降低的趋势,添加量为10%时阻燃效果最好。此外,通过热重、残炭照片分析以及Raman光谱等手段研究了MOSw阻燃PP基体的机理,结果表明,MOSw的加入不仅提高了PP的热稳定性,同时使燃烧残炭层更加完整,从而表现出更好的阻燃性能。
        A series of polypropylene/basic magnesium oxysulfate whisker( PP/MOSw) composites with different MOSw contents were prepared by solution blending method,with the process of cooling precipitation,suction filtration,washing and vacuum drying. The flame retardant properties of PP/MOSw composites were inspected by horizontal burning test and cone calorimetry. The results show that the addition of MOSw could enhance the flame retardant properties of PP matrix. As the increase of the amounts of MOSw,the flameretarding effect could increase first,and then decrease. When the content of MOSw is 10%,the flameretarding effect of PP/MOSw composites could be the best. In addition,the flame retardant mechanism of PP/MOSw composites was investigated by thermal analysis, photos of carbon residue and Raman spectroscopy. The results show that the addition of MOSw could not only improve the thermal stability of PP matrix,but also could generate a more complete carbon residue layer. Therefore, PP/MOSw composites could express better flame retardant properties than pure PP.
