In order to explore the correlation between serum thioredoxin 1(Trx1) and the recovery of white matter after traumatic brain injury, sixty patients with brain injury were divided into three groups(light, moderate, severe group) according to Glasgow coma scale(GCS) with 20 patients in each group in this research. Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) was used to detect the white matter in each group. ELISA was used to detect serum Trx1 level in each group. Correlation between serum thioredoxin-1 and recovery of white matter after brain injury by SPSS software. The results showed that the GCS score of patients with mild brain injury was significantly higher than that of moderate and severe brain injury patients. The level of Trx1 in patients with mild brain injury was significantly higher than that in moderate and severe patients. The recovery of white matter in mild and moderate brain injury patients was significantly better than that in severe patients. There was a positive correlation between the serum Trx1 level and the recovery of white matter in patients with brain injury. The preliminary conclusions of this study indicate that there is a positive correlation between the recovery of white matter and serum Trx1 in patients with brain injury, which will provide new ideas for the treatment of brain injury.
