翻译精神主体性的彰显与缺失——对周作人古希腊作品译介的再思考

摘要
翻译精神关涉人类精神世界的构建,因而译者的翻译精神主体性是实现翻译人文价值的重要前提。无论从文本选择还是话语与策略选择来考量,周作人的古希腊作品译介都显示了比同时代主流译者更鲜明的翻译精神主体性彰显与缺失的双重特征。本文认为,译者翻译精神主体性不能完全脱离主流意识形态和目标读者等客观因素的影响与操控。译者翻译精神主体性的发挥,是一个受到个人品格性情、道德信念在内多种主客观因素影响的复杂过程,需作进一步深入研究。
Translation spirit concerns building an ideal spiritual world for mankind by translation.The translator's subjectivity in practicing translation spirit is an important premise for the realization of humanistic value of translation. In both terms of text selection and strategy choice,Zhou Zuoren's translation of ancient Greek literary works shows a more striking contrast of a full expression and an obvious loss of the translator's subjectivity in practicing translation spirit,as opposed to many mainstream translators. The author of this paper holds that the translator's subjectivity should be balanced with such objective factors as the ideology and target readers. The translator's subjectivity in practicing translation spirit is a complex process often affected by various factors including character and morality beliefs,the interpretation of which demands further research.
