This study aims to isolate probiotics from healthy dairy cow vaginas and evaluate the probiotic characterizations. Then four Lactobacillus were isolated from dairy cow vaginas, and the Lactobacillus isolates were tested for antibacterial activity, the acid and hydrogen peroxide producing abilities and antibiotics sensitivity. The results showed that all the isolates had the anti-bacteria activity, producting acid and hydrogen peroxide property and were also resistance to Vancomycin.According to the 16 S rDNA sequence identification, the 4 Lactobacillus isolates were 1L.salivarius,2 L.mucosae and 1 Enterococcus durans. The 4 Lactobacillus could be used as candidate probiotics to prevent and treat dairy cow endometritis.
