自由意志与决定论量表的修订

自由意志信念对人们的心理健康、政治态度和法律决策均有着重要影响。如何有效地测量个体的自由意志信念是研究自由意志的重要组成部分。由Paulhus和Carey(2010)修订的自由意志和决定论量表(FAD-Plus)在国外研究中广泛使用。该量表包括四个维度:自由意志(Free Will)、命运决定论(Fatalistic Determinism)、科学决定论(Scientific Determinism)和不可预测性(Unpredictability)。本研究对自由意志和决定论量表进行修订并考察其心理测量学特征,以便为中国人群的相关研究提供便利。本研究采用经过翻译和回译的自由意志和决定论量表对679名成人进行测试,并在1个月后对其中100人进行再测。去除无效数据后,有效初测数据为551人(302名女性,平均年龄为24.48±7.68),包括88份初测与再测数据均有效的数据。对有效数据进行信、效度检验。结果表明,自由意志与决定论量表的分半信度为0.76,自由意志、命运决定论、科学决定论和不可预测性各维度的ɑ系数分别为0.72、0.79、0.58及0.74;四周后的重测信度为0.38。因素分析的结果显示,采用原量表的四因素结构并未达到心理测量学指标(Sχ~2(377)=737.37,p<.001,RMSEA为0.06,CFI为0.76)。本研究的初步结果表明,自由意志与决定论量表内部一致性信度较高,但是结构效度还有待改进,可能的原因是中国文化下,自由意志信念与西方文化有所差异,因此翻译版的自由意志与决定论量表不能直接适用于中国人群,还需要进一步修订工作。
Belief in free will could greatly impact people's mental health, political attitudeand legal decisions. Therefore,the measurement of belief in free is a central problem in psychological research of free will. Currently, the FAD-Plus scale developed by Paulhus and Carey(2010) is widely used, which includes four dimensions: Free Will, Fatalistic Determinism, Scientific Determinism and Unpredictability. To facilitate the research of free will in Chinese sample, we revised the Chinese version of FAD-Plus. We tested 679 Chinese participants with a Chinese version of FAD-Plus, which was translated and back-translated by 4 psychology major. Of the 679 participants, we re-tested 100 of them a month later. After excluding the invalid data, data of 551 participants(302 females, mean age = 24.48±7.68) entered statistical analysis, including reliability and validity analysis, also, 88 participants' test-retest data were included in our analysis. The results showed that split-half reliability coefficient, which was indexed by Spearman-Brown correlation coefficient, was 0.76 and the coefficient of internal consistency, which was measured by Cronbach alpha, of Free Will, Fatalistic Determinism, Scientific Determinism and Unpredictability were 0.72, 0.79, 0.58 and 0.74,.Respectively. The test-retest reliability coefficient, which was calculated by 88 valid data, was 0.38. Moreover, our factor analysis showed that the four-dimension structure of original scale was not optimal(Sχ~2(377) = 737.37, p <.001,RMSEA=0.06, CFI=0.76). Our preliminary results suggested that the Chinese version of FAD-Plus has good internal reliability, however, the structure validity is not good enough. These results suggest that under the Chinese culture, the belief in free will maybe differ from their western counterparts, therefore the Chinese version FAD-Plus cannot be used directly, and further revision is needed.
