磁热诱导前端聚合制备超分子自愈合水凝胶材料

摘要
自愈合水凝胶材料在受到外界损伤后可以自我修复,能够提高材料的使用寿命和降低材料的耗损度,是当今高分子材料研究的热点。我们采用了一种新型自由基聚合模式—磁控前端聚合制备了自愈合性能良好的超分子环糊精/聚(乙烯基咪唑-co-丙烯酸羟丙脂)凝胶。该超分子凝胶在受损后,不需要任何外部刺激便可以自发愈合,并具有良好的机械强度。值得注意的是,利用主客体组装和磁热效应的协同作用可以大幅加速创伤愈合过程。该方法为制备新型自愈合材料提供了新的视角。
Hydrogels capable of autonomous healing upon damage is one of the cutting-edge topics in polymer materials because this self-healing property can expand the lifespan of materials and reduce replacement costs. We demonstrate herein the fabrication of host-guest supramolecular gels with self-repair capability through the magnetically induced frontal polymerization(MIFP). New type of eco-friendly supramolecular gels are formed by the assembly of "host" β-cyclodextrin(CD) and "guest" N-vinylimidazole(VI). The resultant supramolecular gels possess high mechanical strength and noticeable automatic self-healing properties,ascribing to the host-guest interaction between CD and VI. More interestingly, the magnetic induction forges a link between magnetic-induced healing and supramolecular host-guest assembly, which can remarkably speed up the healing process(6 times on average). This method may provide a new insight into the rapid fabrication of novel self-healing materials.
