基于TRL校准的变容二极管参数提取

摘要
铷85原子钟系统的闭环锁定需要一个基于变容二极管设计的3.035GHz压控振荡器(VCO)为其提供合适的微波信号,且该VCO对于原子钟系统性能的优劣具有很大的影响。对于该VCO的精准设计则需要准确的、考虑到实际工作环境的变容二极管电路模型。但是,变容二极管数据手册中的参数都是在低频条件下测量得到,无法满足S波段以及更高频率电路的设计需求。基于此,本文在对全双端口TRL校准的网络误差模型分析的基础上,根据实际应用需求设计了相应的TRL校准件,并通过测量若干特性已知的电感对其准确性与可靠性进行了验证,最后完成了对所用变容二极管的参数提取与等效电路模型的建立,从而为后续所设计VCO仿真结果的准确性提供了保障。
The closed-loop locking of Rubidium-85 atomic clock system needs a 3.035 GHz voltage-controlled oscillator(VCO)designed with thevaractorto provide anappropriate microwave signal, and the VCO hasgreat influences on the performance of the atomic clock system. To design and simulate the VCO precisely, it is necessary to build an accurate circuit model of the used varactorconsidering practical operating environment. However, parameters of varactor in the datasheet are all measured at low frequencies, so that they cannot meet the design requirements ofthe circuit operating at S-band and higher frequencies. On this occasion, this paper designs the TRL calibration standards on the basis of the analysis of the full two-port TRL error model and the actual application requirements. Then the accuracy and reliability of the TRL calibration standards are verified by testing some inductors with known characteristics. Finally, the parameters of the used varactor are extracted and itsequivalent circuit model is built,guaranteeing the reliability of the simulation results of the subsequent VCO design well.
