基于THGEM中子探测器初步实验研究

摘要
为满足下一代中子实验装置的需求,本文发展了一种基于国产镀金THGEM的新型热中子探测器,可作为未来一种重要的~3He替代技术。本文主要介绍了探测器原型样机的设计与制作,并给出了初步的实验测试结果,包括了镀金THGEM膜在Ar和CO_2混合气体中的工作性能,以及使用~(252)CF中子源进行的初步中子成像实验,为后续研究工作提供了实验数据参考。
A new thermal neutron detector with the domestically produced Au-coated THGEM(THick Gas Electron Multiplier) is developed as an alternative to ~3He to meet the needs of the next generation of neutron facilities. A detector prototype has been built and the preliminary experimental tests are presented, including the performance of the Au-coated THGEM working in the Ar/CO_2 gas mixtures and the neutron imaging test with ~(252)CF source, which would provide the reference of experimental data for the research in future.
