活性粒子浴中聚合物嫁接胶体形成的微转子

摘要
活性粒子体系是典型的非平衡动力学系统,有着丰富的非平衡物理现象。比如把形状不对称的微齿轮结构放在包含细菌或其它活性粒子的溶液中,齿轮会自发的定向旋转,从而可以对外做功。要形成这样的定向旋转,体系要引入一定的不对称性,如转子形状或表面性质的不对称性。这里我们发现把表面嫁接长链的胶体颗粒放入活性粒子浴中,长链的形状和分布会自发的产生不对称并形成定向的旋转。我们分析了不对称产生的条件,转子旋转的动力学特征等。
The suspension of active Brownian particles is a typical nonequilibrium dynamic system,exhibiting very rich intriguing phenomena.For example,a shape-asymmetric micro-gear can spontaneous rotate in the desired direction when immersed in bacterial bath,which convert chemical energy into mechanical work in the micrometer scale.Asymmetry in the shape or interfacial properties such as elasticity,roughness,etc.is necessary to generate the directional rotation.Here we find the chains grafted on the surface of a spherical colloidal particle spontaneously generate asymmetric shape in the bath of active particles and hence lead to directional rotation of the colloidal particle.The condition to generate the asymmetry shape and dynamic behavior of the rotation are investigated.
