摘要
<正>在美国"南方文学"流派最重要的代表人物福克纳的作品中,基督教元素和《圣经》文学痕迹,构成其文学创作艺术性的重要维度。这种创作态势在福克纳小说尤其在"约克纳帕塔法"世系小说中表现出一脉相承的连续性。本文以福克纳"约克纳帕塔法"世系小说的基督教语境及其创作模式与《圣经》文本的同构关系为切入点,以《喧哗与骚动》作为案例分析文本,表明"神性"与"人性"的张力、诗意与神性的对峙和交融在福克纳文学想像王国里营造出独特的宗教氛围,其神话诗学历程通过文学想像与基督教文化传统内在精神的同构而得到最为集中的展现。
Christian elements and Biblical influence are manifested in the literary imagination of William Faulkner,one of the most important figures in the Literature of the American South.They can be found consistently in his literary creation,particularly in the Yoknapatawpha novels.Based on the Christian context in the Yoknapatawpha novels and their co-structural relevance to the Bible,taking The Sound and the Fury as a case study,this paper argues that the tension between "divinity" and "humanity",and the confrontation and blend of poetics and religion have created a peculiar religious flavor in Faulkner's literary imagination.His literary world is therefore most conspicuously manifested through the inherent co-structural relationship between his literary imagination and the Christian cultural tradition.
