在过去十年中推动汽车制造业前进的动力是经济全球化,然而随着劳动力紧缺,物价上涨和国外车企的大量涌入,控制生产成本、提高生产效率是每个公司必须要努力的方向。TPS的生产方式以其能够有效的提高生产率,降低生产成本,保证产品质量和追求消除一切浪费的独到优势为汽车制造业带来了新的希望。采用TPS原理,实施"一个流"生产,改善价值流,从而提高产品价值和生产效率成为了最有效的办法之一。
