基于直流法的三级GEM的性能研究

基于直流法研究了三级GEM(100×100mm~2)在5种混合气体(Ar:CO_2(70:30)、Ar:ISO(80:20)、Ar:ISO(90:10)、He:ISO(90:10)和He:ISO(95:05))工作下的性能;即:测量了三级GEM的各场区的透过率,得到了优化的各场区的参数;为准确测量气体增益,实验过程中通过选择测量方法,对软X射线在GEM的原初电离的电流进行了精密测量;避免了传统模式,即测量~(55)Fe全能峰,利用一般电离能的特定参数估算原初电离得到增益方法所带来的一些不确定性;得到了一个确定条件下的准确的增益。
We report the results of a systematic study of the performance of a 100×100mm~2 triple-GEM detector operated with 5 gas mixtures(Ar: CO2(70:30)、Ar:ISO(80:20)、Ar:ISO(90:10)、He:ISO(90:10)和 He:ISO(95:05))with direct current methods. The transparency of the triple-GEM was studied respectively and the optimization of the parameters of each field was obtained. In order to precisely measure gas gain of soft X-ray, the ionization measurement was performed and the method for measuring ionization has been carefully taken into account which avoids the uncertainty of the measurement of ~(55)Fe full energy photo-electron peak and estimate ionization based on its specific parameters. The accurate gain of GEM with 5 kinds of working gas has been studied.
