窗耦合型强流重离子RFQ的腔体设计

摘要
近年来,强流重离子加速器日益引起关注,其中以美国在建的FRIB(Facility for Rare Isotope Beams)、中国倡议的HIAF(High intensity heavy ion acceleratorfacility)为代表的大型国际合作型项目为新一代强流重离子加速器设施。HIAF的设计目标是能够把从质子到铀的所有离子加速到1.2~3.4 GeV/u。HIAF的包括离子源、强流直线加速器、一个同步环加速器和数个实验设施~([1])。HIAF在低能段的加速器采用了翼上开窗的四翼型射频四极场(Radio Frequency Quadrupole)直线加速器结构,这种结构能大幅减小传统RFQ的尺寸以及改善二次模的分离频率。本文将详细介绍RFQ的腔体设计。
A international HIAF(High Intensity heavy ion Acclerator Facility(project proposed by IMP(Institute of Modern Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences) will be built on the experience and technological developments already achieved at the existing heavy ion accelrator complex.The HIAF is being designed to accelerate high intense beams for all ion species from proton to uranium.And the main HIAF components includ ion sources,a high current linac system,a synchrotron,a high storage ring system and several experimental facilities.The preaccelerator,adopted windowed-vane type RFQ,could accelerate very heavy ions up to 0.5 MeV/u from 14 keV/u,and the injector system could provide high current beams with the energy range of 25~100 MeV/u.In this paper,the RFQ will be reported.
