Synchronization of nonlinear switched systems based on sampled-data

This paper addresses the master-slave synchronization problem of continuous time nonlinear switched systems. The idea is to use sampled-data of both the measurement output and switching signal to design feedback control laws with synchronizing controller gains. Firstly, based on input delay approach, the synchronization error system is modeled as a switched system with state delay and asynchronous switching signal, which is generated by merging switching signal with its sampling data. Then, the Lyapunov functional approach and the average dwell time method are used to analyze the exponential stability of the synchronization error system, and the design of the output feedback controller is given by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical simulation for the longitudinal dynamics of an F-18 aircraft is present to verify the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization scheme.
