刺激左背外侧前额叶皮层可提高决策能力

决策是指对不同方案的利弊得失进行权衡,对其主观预期价值进行评估,并最终做出选择的过程。决策对人们的工作、学习和生活至关重要。已有研究表明,左背外侧前额叶皮层(DLPFC)等冲动控制相关的脑区会参与决策加工。具体表现为,决策加工过程会伴随左侧DLPFC的激活,左侧DLPFC的损伤也会导致决策能力受损。但目前对于左侧DLPFC和决策行为之间的因果关系依然不清楚。目的:本研究拟探讨左侧DLPFC和决策行为之间的因果关系,试图为决策能力的提高寻找新方法。方法:采用经颅直流电刺激(tDCS)的方法,将41名男性大学生随机分为两组,一组(22名)接受1.5毫安的阳极电流刺激,刺激区域为左侧DLPFC,另一组(19名)在相同脑区接受伪刺激,两组刺激时长均为20分钟。刺激结束后,被试依次完成爱荷华赌博测验任务(IGT)、跨期选择任务(ITC)和巴瑞特冲动性量表(BIS)。结果:(1)、两组在BIS三个维度上均无显著差异,表明两组被试在冲动性人格特质上无差异。(2)、在IGT中,随着任务进行,两组被试都表现出学习效应,但tDCS组学习速度更快。尤其在第41-60次选择时,tD CS组IGT分数显著高于伪刺激组。基于期望效价模型(the revised Expectancy Valence Model)的进一步分析发现,tD CS组新近性参数(Recency)的值显著低于伪刺激组,表明tDCS组更多关注于过去信息。(3)、在ITC中,tDCS组折扣率k值显著低于伪刺激组,在决策时更多选择延迟的较大金额的奖赏。结论:阳极tDCS刺激左侧DLPFC可以提高人们的决策能力。
Background: The psychological process of decision making requires trade-off between the gains and losses, along with their probabilities. Impulse control, which includes the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(DLPFC), plays key roles in decision making. However, previous studies only showed the correlation between them, the causal role of DLPFC on decision making remains unknown. The aim of the present study was to investigate the causal role of the left DLPFC on the IGT and intertemporal choices. Methods: Forty-one healthy male college students were randomly assigned to accept High-definition Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation(HD-tDCS) over the left DLPFC region(N = 22) or sham stimulation to the same region(N = 19). The tDCS was delivered at 1.5mA for 20 min. After the stimulation, participants completed the following behavior tasks and questionnaire in the same order: 1) the Iowa Gambling Task(IGT); 2) the Inter-Temporal Choice task(ITC); and 3) the Barratt Impulsivity Scale(BIS). Results: 1) The scores of attentional impulsivity, motor impulsivity, and non-planning impulsivity were comparable between the two groups in the BIS. 2) ANOVA analysis of IGT revealed a significant main effect of IGT blocks, and a significant interaction between IGT blocks and group. tDCS group showed faster learning than the sham group, and the biggest difference was the IGT score in the trials 41 – 60 with tDCS group scored higher than sham group. Based on revised Expectancy Valence Model(r EV), the tD CS group showed higher recency parameter than the sham group, suggesting the tDCS group relies more on the past information. 3) The results of ITC suggested that tDCS grouphave lower k value than the sham group. Conclusion: Anodal tDCS over the Left DLPFC improves Decision Making.
