A Rule-based Mechanism for Event-Triggered Control of Nonlinear Systems

We propose a new event-generating rule for event-triggered control of nonlinear systems with external disturbances.We consider control systems that are input-to-state stabilizable with the external disturbance and the sampling errors as the inputs. By introducing a decision-making process in the event trigger, our sampling intervals are guaranteed to be larger than a positive lower bound. Moreover, we prove that the closed-loop event-triggered system is input-to-state stable with the external disturbance as the input. Our example and simulation show the effectiveness of the proposed design in reducing sampling times.
