认知语境下“其”字不同英译的分析——以韩愈《师说》不同英译版本为例

摘要
关联理论作为语用学研究的一个重要理论,其下的认知语境理论应运而生。而翻译活动作为人类的一种认知活动,通过认知来构建信息。本文从认知语境理论出发,结合动态的明示—推理过程,分析韩愈《师说》17个"其"字6个英译版本中,语境效果和所需努力对"其"字英译关联度的影响,并结合认知语境对"其"英译时话语理解的制约——词义的具体化以及话语意图的传达,以深化对认知语境下对"其"英译的理解。
Relevance Theory,as an important theory in the field of Pragmatics,and its cognitive context theory is born at the proper moment.And translation,as human's cognitive activity,constructs information through cognition.This paper will start from cognitive context theory and combine dynamics ostensive-inferential process to analyze contextual effect and processing effort's effects on the translation of seventeen "qi" in six translation editions of Han Yu(a scholar in Tang Dynasty) On the Teacher.Besides,discourse comprehension of "qi" English translation based on cognitive context theory will be analyzed—specification of words meanings as well as transmission of discourse intention to deepen the understandings of the translation of "qi" under the cognitive context theory.
