Comparatively study on the related indexes of combustion characteristics of different formula biomass fuels

In order to study the feasibility of the application of biomass fuel in tobacco leaf curing, we used the high efficiency biomass pellet molding machine(HCK045A type) to produce 9 different formula biomass pellet fuels. Taking the 100% pulverized coal as contrast, we studied and compared the structure components, industrial analysis, heat value, ash components, ash fusibility and physical properties of different formulas. The results showed that: 50% sawdust+50% tobacco straw formula had higher biological components such as cellulose and lignin. It also had higher volatile and fixed carbon content, lower ash and water content, higher ash melting point temperature, short ignition time, long combustion duration, low bottom ash clinkering rate and better performance of physical properties such as breaking strength and water permeability. Compared with CK, although the biomass fuel's heat value is slightly lower, other combustion performance indexes can reach the technical requirements of tobacco leaf curing. So it can be used as an alternative source of energy for tobacco leaf curing.
