Climate Variation Analysis of Low Temperature Effects on Shipping of the Middle Yangtze River

摘要
The effects of low temperature on inland shipping were divided into slight, average and high level according to their features.Based on the daily low temperature data of 17 stations near the coast of the middle Yangtze River during 1965-2008,the climate variation characteristics of the effects were discussed by using wavelet and statistical analysis method. The results indicated that the influence at the slight level was more frequent and fluctuating, while the effect at the average level declined evidently, but the effects at the slight and high level remained stable, and the rates were less than 0.46 d/10 a.At the slight level, there were obvious periodic oscillations of 10-30 a periods for the seasonal and annual temperature variations. The effect of low temperature on shipping industry at the slight level will be more evident in the future 10 years,as there will be more days of low temperature.
