基于WAP的无线终端OTA自动配置的设计与实现

摘要
OTA(Over-the-Air,空中下载)技术:空中传送技术使网络运营商可以通过空中传送将数据传至终端和远程站点。
     WAP(无线应用协议:Wireless Application Protocol)协议就是移动Internet应用程序的标准通信协议。它的主要设计目标是为移动设备访问Internet或者内联网提供一种经过优化的开放标准。
     手机上网是当今流行的IT热门技术之一。传统的STK(SIMCard Tool Kit)卡由于指令菜单修改不方便,如果想更换菜单则必须换卡,因此难以在移动增值服务方面广泛推广。使用OTA技术的手机,当用户要增加、修改、变更和删除某些应用时,无须做任何硬件更换,只要随时随地通过空中下载功能、利用从OTA平台发来信息就能轻松得到所需的应用服务。WAP OTA是通过短信快速设置WAP主页、上网参数、书签,可向WAP网站提供服务。
     本论文在认真分析WAP的相关理论、协议和WAP OTA自动配置短信所涉及到的关键技术的基础上,具体阐述了Philips GSM Dragonfly平台上无线终端(手机)的WAP OTA自动配置设计和实现过程。
     本设计中WAP自动配置的实现是通过短信(SMS)作为载体来实现的,OTA规范用来将WAP参数按某种特定的格式进行包装,进而形成特定的短信息经过GSM网走SMS通道,发送到WAP终端。被接收后由XML解码器对其进行解码,解码后把相应的参数和它的值分配到EEPROM中,参数配置也就完成了,然后经过软件代码在手机上会看到相应得配置设置,用户经确认后便可联网。如果用户的WAP终端支持OTA规范的话,在用户确认后手机就会将这种特殊的短信息转变为WAP参数,从而使自动配置WAP变得简单。
OTA(Over-the-Air) technology: The network operations merchant can transport data to terminals and long-distance sites by using OTA technology.
    WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) is standard communication Protocol of mobile internet application paragram. Its main goal is to supply an optimized open standard with mobile device surfing on the web or Internet.
    Although STK technology has solved the problem of the use and realization of the incremental services when it just appeared, because OTA customers can't conveniently modify the menus in the SIM card, STK technology can't be popularized. Commercial STK cards open a good scene really until the appearance of Over the Air Technology. Mobile user can get the services easily by OTA technology everywhere ande verytime, for example: increase applications ,modify applications,alert applications and delete applications without changing any firmwares. WAP OTA set up WAP homepage, web parameters,bookmark by Short Message Service.
    The paper emphasizes the design and realization of WAP OTA setting of the wireless terminal which is at the platform of Philips GSM Dragonfly at the base of the related theories and protocol and the key techniques of WAP OTA.
    WAP OTA Setting is realized by Short Message Service. OTA criterions is used to pack WAP parameters in a given format to a SMS that arrives the WAP terminal through GSM channel. The terminal decodes the SMS by XML decoder then the decoded parameters and its values are distributed to EEPROM. We can find the according setting parameters in the mobile after my code dealed with them. The user confirm them and can go into web or Internet. If the mobile terminal supports the WAP OTA ,it changes the special SMS into WAP setting parameters after confirming the SMS. So it is easy way to set up WAP setting parameters.
