基于DSP的指纹识别系统硬件平台设计

摘要
指纹识别作为生物特征识别的一种,由于指纹具有的唯一性、终身不变性、难于伪造等特点,使其在金融安全、数据加密、电子商务等安全性要求较高的行业中得到广泛应用,是目前研究与应用的一个热点。随着标准CMOS工艺制造,且集成SPI、USB和MCU接口的指纹传感芯片的出现,以及DSP在图像处理领域的广泛应用,以DSP和指纹传感芯片为核心的指纹识别系统结构是今后指纹识别技术的一个发展方向。
     本文在对指纹识别技术各环节进行深入研究的基础上,结合DSP和指纹传感芯片的特性,对系统各模块进行合理的组合与优化,设计了一个小体积、低功耗、快速度的指纹识别系统硬件平台。论文的内容主要包括以下几方面:
     1、研究和分析了目前国內外指纹识别技术和指纹识别系统的发展状况,在此基础上提出了基于DSP的指纹识别系统硬件平台设计方案。
     2、本着增加系统集成度、减小系统体积、提高便携性、降低功耗和成本同时提升系统性能的原则,以DSP芯片TMS320C5416和指纹传感芯片MBF200为核心,外配片外SRAM和FLASH存储器以及LCD显示屏等,设计了一个基于DSP的便携式指纹识别系统硬件平台。
     3、对指纹识别系统硬件平台进行调试和验证,在平台正常工作的基础上完成系统初始化和指纹图像采集程序的移植,最后实现了指纹图像的成功采集。
     实验结果表明本文提出的硬件平台设计方案是可行的。基于DSP的自动指纹识别系统硬件平台在功耗、速度、体积和可扩展性方面有着独特的优势,具有广阔的发展空间。
Fingerprint identification as one of biology character identifications, because of the stability and security, has been widely applied to finance and electron business; it is a hotspot of the present study and application. With the appearance of fingerprint sensor chip and the DSP wide applications to image processing, the fingerprint identification system structure that uses fingerprint sensor and DSP as the core will become popular in future.
     In this paper, basing on the in-depth research and sound investigation, a convenient, fast and inexpensive hardware development platform of fingerprint identification system has been successfully designed. This paper is made up of the following parts:
     The basic principle, system structure, estimation criterion of the fingerprint identification system have been realized and the elements of the system have been chosen by analyzing the present development status of fingerprint identification art.
     By using digital signal processing TMS320C5416 and fingerprint sensor MBF200 as its main chips, with the cooperation of SRAM memory, FLASH memory, LCD and so on, this platform has archived the objective of high performance and integration, low cost and consumption, small size.
     Debug and validation have been made to make sure that the platform is in order. Following this, system initialization and fingerprint image capture program have been successfully transplanted to the hardware platform. At last, fingerprint images have been exactly captured.
     Experimentation has proved that hardware platform design presented by this paper is practicable. Fingerprint identification system based on DSP has particular advantages of speed, power, area and expansibility and has wide development space.
