地理信息系统在中学地理教学中的应用

摘要
地理信息系统(geographic information system，简称GIS，以下用简称)凭借其强大的空间分析功能已经广泛应用于资源、生态、环境和可持续发展研究等许多领域。如果将其引入到中学地理教学中，将会对中学地理教学起到巨大的影响。因为具有创新精神的地理教育者希望利用更加容易发挥学生主体作用的教学手段来培养学生独立学习和思考能力。在中学地理教学中应用GIS将会具有普遍性。
目前，我国有必要而且有能力将GIS引入到中学地理教学中，这是适应时代发展的需要。将GIS引入到中学地理教学中，是现代教育发展的要求：即在中学地理教学过程中要及时体现现代地理科学研究技术和方法；是知识经济时代要求，知识经济时代的中学教育应是信息化教育；是适应基础教育改革的需要，基础教育改革要求中学地理教学要具有创新精神。GIS将会给中学地理教学带来新的活力。
把GIS引入中学地理教学具有可行性。把GIS引入中学地理教学中符合现代教育理论；计算机技术的发展为GIS用于中学地理教学提供了可能；互联网是地理教师和学生最广袤的教学资源库，从互联网上可以获得GIS所用的数据和信息；专业的GIS软件正在走近中学地理教学，可以直接通过网络存取数据；国家开始重视中学教师GIS教学能力的培养；部分中学现有的软硬件设施能够满足GIS引入中学地理教学的需要。
将GIS引入到中学地理教学中来，可以从四个方面即教学观念、教学手段、教学内容和教学组织形式来进行引入。引入GIS将使传统的中学地理教学观念发生改变，教师单纯教授课本知识的教学观念将要彻底发生改变，学生的学习方式也要发生巨大的变化，强调学生在学习过程中的主体地位。因GIS具有交互性的特点，可以最大限度发展学生的个性，培养学习者发现问题、解决问题的能力。培养学生获
取信息、分析信息和处理信息的能力。教学手段更加具有直观性，将
会优化课堂教学，将会提高学习的质量。教学组织形式将会更具开放
性和互动性。
本文主要研究如何将基于计算机的GIS引入到中学地理教学中
去。可以说将其引入到中学地理教学中的意义是极大的。因为GIS数
据的可视性，将其引入教学中会增强学生学习地理及培养学生空间能
力。通过对地理数据的分析培养学生的问题解决能力。GIS跨学科特
点使其成为理想的创新教育的教学工具。与传统教学特点相比，其互
动性和可视性特点更能加强学生的学习兴趣。GIS应用于中学地理教
学中前景是非常广阔的。
Because of its giant function, geographic information system ( GIS) is now widely applied to resources, ecology, environment and sustainable development research. The benefits that geographic information system (GIS) can bring to middle school education are numerous, geographic information system (GIS) needed to become as ubiquitous in the educational system is an ideal tool for innovative geographical education teachers who wish to use more student-centered teaching methods where students play an active part in the learning process, challenging students to think more independently and critically.
It is necessary and feasible to apply geographic information system (gis) to secondary school geographic education while our country should adapt to social development. The use of a Geographic Information System (GIS), a modern education technology that can adequately meet requirement of modern education ,of which geography classroom presented to modern methods of geographic research . The use of a gis conform to modern educational idea that Education of knowledge economy time should be education of information. The use of a gis conform to the idea of advancing the reform of geography education. The gis will make the secondary geography education interactive and openly.
Application of gis conform to theories of modern education. It is the development of computer technology that make use of gis feasible in the secondary geography. Network provide plenty of information and data. Professional GIS soft is walking into the secondary geography, the appropriate data sets is accessible via the Internet without the need for GIS software or data on local computers. Our country start to value education of gis . Now some middle school meet teaching about GIS .
Bringing GIS to geography curriculum in secondary school deal with ideal of teaching, method of teaching, content of teaching, organization of teaching. Applying to GIS will change the ideal of traditional teaching that the education simply teach knowledge of textbook and that the student
only study their textbook, because of its visual and interactive nature, a GIS challenges students to ask questions, research problems, identify relationships, interpret data, and develop theories based on information presented to them. Instead of just reading about results, students can use a GIS to perform geographic and scientific analysis, which encourages exploration and abstract thinking. Organization of teaching will be interactive.
The purpose of the research is to explore how computer-based GIS systems, originally developed for use in industry and government, can enhance the secondary geography . Their data viewing capabilities can enhance curricula by assisting students in learning geographic and spatial reasoning issues, while their data analysis functionality can help to develop students' problem solving skills. Their interdisciplinary nature make them an ideal educational tool for teaching about real-world issues.
