基于关系数据库的多媒体资源管理与发布系统的设计与实现

摘要
随着多媒体技术和网络技术的快速发展,我们可以获得的多媒体资源越来越多,同时我们对多媒体资源共享和交换的需求也越来越大。如何有效地管理多媒体资源,如何高效地发布共享多媒体资源逐渐成为一个亟待解决的问题。因此,我们设计了这个多媒体资源管理与发布系统。
     本系统由三部分组成:客户端软件、服务器软件和Web服务器。客户端软件可以作为一个桌面型的多媒体资源管理工具独立使用,它能很好的完成多媒体资源的分类管理功能,尤其是它提供了基于多媒体资源内容的检索能力,能帮助用户迅速找到所需多媒体资源。客户端软件还具有非常友好的用户界面,采用与资源管理器类似的操作方式。客户端软件又是访问服务器的工具,使用客户端软件能够登录到服务器,并在服务器上发布和共享多媒体资源。服务器软件具有与客户端软件相同的资源管理功能,并支持用户的发布管理。Web服务器集成在服务器上,服务器管理的多媒体资源由Web服务器发布到Internet上。用户使用浏览器访问Web服务器,不但可以浏览查询多媒体资源,还可以上传和下载多媒体资源。
     本文首先对多媒体资源的属性进行了详细的分类和描述,并以此为基础,完成多媒体属性数据库的设计。多媒体资源的管理与发布是系统要实现的重要功能,我们在资源管理子系统和资源发布子系统中进行了详细的阐述。最后对开发工作进行总结,并对后续工作做了展望。
With the development of multimedia technology and network technology, more and more multimedia resource can be utilized by us. The demand for individual user to share and exchange the multimedia resource becomes increasingly greater. How to manage these resources properly and distribute them on Internet effectively now turns out to be a serious problem. So we design this multimedia resource management and distribution system.
    The whole system consists of three parts: Client software, Server software and Web Server. The client software is a desktop tool and can run properly by itself. It can deal with multimedia resource management perfectly. Especially, it supports to look up some multimedia resource by their contents and make it convenient to find out what we want. The Client software also provides to user with a friendly user interface. The user interface is similar to
    Windows explorer. The client software is the tool to access the server. A user uses the client software to access the multimedia resource in the server and distribute his resource. The Server software has more powerful function. It can do all of the works that the client software can do. Further more, it deals with client distribution management. Web server is integrated in the server machine, it use web page to distribute the multimedia resource in the
    Internet. A user uses Internet explorer to access web server. In the web pages, user can look up multimedia resource and download or upload them.
    We classify and describe the multimedia resource according to their properties at the beginning of this paper. On the basis of these work, we establish the multimedia property database. The management and distribution of the multimedia resource is the most important function of this project. We discuss these parts in the resource management subsystem and resource distribution system in detail. Finally, we summarize our research work and give a perspective on future research.
